Apprenticeship Retakes

Created

Hi all, I'm looking for some advice on apprenticeship EPA retakes please. The guidance says: 'Where this learner is then identified as needing further support or additional learning in order to pass the assessment, then a new learning aim should be recorded as a restart with a Funding adjustment for prior learning to account for the new learning required to pass the resit. You must not amend the original, closed learning aim.'

Is anybody able to provide more info? Am I right in thinking that the programme aim would still be continuing (1,8) and we would simply create a new component aim for the standard for the new period of learning? But funding adjustment for prior learning shouldn't be used for non-FS aims anyway, so how does that work? And would we have updated the programme aim to completed but not achieved because we have the first EPA result back? Presumably not if we intend to go back into learning.

The part of the guidance does not apply to Apprenticeships, where they fail EPA and going to resit the EPA has not been completed and you would only enter the outcome and achievement date when the result of the resit is known.
