Learner Support - Apprenticeships

Created

None

Afternoon,

Apologies if this is something really obvious that I'm missing, but we have had an Apprenticeship learner enquire about claiming money for 'learner support' and is looking at this website:

https://www.gov.uk/learner-support/how-to-claim

It says that they need to apply directly with us and we will decide how much they get and that it could be a direct payment to them? The learner support funding I usually deal with is the one that is claimed through the ILR but is for the provider to cover additional support, not to give the learner? Any advice would be appreciated, does this relate to some kind of bursary relating to Apprenticeships and, if so, how would I know if we can access it etc?

Thanks

Steve

An Apprentice is employed and excepting for the bursary for care leavers and learning support as outlined in the funding rules no Learner support is available to Apprentices, the link has been taken out of context and does not apply to Apprenticeships.
