Error on completed learners who are awaiting EPA

When the Apprentice has completed learning you enter the actual end date in the programme aim while leaving the completion status a 1 (The learner is continuing or intending to continue the learning activities leading to the learning aim) but changing the Outcome to 8 (Learning activities are complete but the outcome is not yet known).

When you are advised by the EPAO that the EPA has been completed, the outcome of the EPA (pass or fail) and the date the EPA was completed you change the completion status to 2, enter the appropriate outcome and enter the Achievement date (Completion date for standards), you will also need to enter the ACT record Date To as the same as the Achievement date.

Thanks Martin, Im sure this is the guidance I followed but will try again. I assume that the component aim should be the same?  

As all training has been completed at the gateway point to the EPA all component aims should be recorded as completed excepting any FS aims that due to the Covid exception have not been achieved prior to the EPA.

sorry, one last question....does the ESFA provide employers/providers training sessions on ILR returns and what should be completed where? 

Not sure on that but they do document guidance see: https://guidance.submitlearnerdatabeta.fasst.org.uk/

As well as the ILR Specifications you may find the Funding Streams field collection tables and the Provider support manual useful as what you need to complete in the ILR is dependant on what type of provision you deliver.

Hi, sorry to bring this up again but I just cant get this to work...

If I follow the guidance then I get a R90 error "Learning actual end date of the component aims must be returned for this programme". 

If I return the end date for the component aim as well as the programme aim, then the error I get is "The Learning actual end date must not be returned for this Completion status" and "the completion status is not valid for this outcome"

I feel like Im going around in circles. 

I have been getting around this by not completing my learners until I have the EPA results! 

Any further advice please?  

That looks correct for the Programme aim but for the component aims the completion status must not be 1 when the actual end date is entered, it should be 2 where completed.
