Apprenticeships - working from home

Created

Good afternoon

We have an employer who would like to take on an apprentice, but the role would be based at home, with remote log ins to their employer. Would this fulfil the apprenticeship expectation as we will be able to deliver face to face to the learner, just not in a place of employment as such?

TIA

Kate

I expect working from home as their place of work would be acceptable if this is specified in their contract of employment and you are able to deliver all aspects of the standard remotely, but you should seek confirmation from the ESFA.

Assuming it's appropriate for the role to be home-based, and you're happy the employer can support their employee properly, can't see an issue?
