Data Correction Advice?

Created

Hi - I have a learner who went on BIL 1/4/2020
Returned 1/7/2020

She had the wrong 'main aim' in her original POT - and now has the correct 'main aim' in her restart POT - as a result she is populating my PDSAT as it "appears" that she has not come back.

Is there a way to correct this?  I cant withdraw back to start and add the correct aim with the same start date (as you would for a continuing learner) as this is a cross year and the AED for her BIL was populated at R14.

Any ideas please?

thanks

It is only original POT that you need the correction for in this year ILR the corrected record will the match the restart record returned in R14 the previous year.

Follow the guidance in the PSM:

Continuing learners who have an incorrect learning aim reference, or funding model

On the incorrect learning aim, set the Completion status to code 3 ‘withdrawn’ and the Withdrawal reason to code 40 ‘Learner has transferred to a new learning aim with the same provider’. Record the Learning actual end date with the same date as the Learning start date (this date will be in the previous ILR year).

Record a new learning aim with the correct Learning aim reference and/or funding model. The Learning start date and Learning planned end date must be the same as on the original (incorrect) aim. Do not amend the Learning start date or Learning planned end date. The new aim record should not be recorded as a restart.

Hi Martin

I'd already tried that!  It causes continuation issues!

The original POT is not the Continuing POT and when I tried to do it as you suggested the learner then popped up on my FRMs!
