Non Reg Learning Aims and the PDSAT

Created

Hi

On the PDSAT there is a message that says that non reg learning aims can not be duplicated i.e. repeated - however I have been informed that a learner can repeat non reg learning aims if it can be proven that the subject content is different, i.e. Arts and Crafts - one can be Art and the other Craft

Would anyone be able to clarify for me - thank you

Hi

We also have some of these show up under report 21B-004 (Possible duplicate or overlapping non-regulated learning aims) but as they are Community Learning aims and learners can do two CL courses concurrently we've left them.

Kind regards

Ibrahim

Hi

The PDSAT Report doesn't quite say that, it's saying "Are You Sure?" that these learners are doing different things on the same learning aim. So as long as you're happy with that and could explain it to an auditor, you're grand. As a start, showing the different course codes a learner is on is the first thing (and hopefully you're putting it in one of the provider specified fields, so it's there in the report).

And, yes, filter out FM 10 before you even start looking at it!
