TNP2&3 - What date?

Created

None

Hi,

We have some learners who we need to record the EPAO and TNP2 and TNP3 in their ILRs.

The learners started in 2018, 2019 and 2020 – I need to check what date do I use for the TNP2 and TNP3?

Does it have to be in this financial year?

I have asked the helpdesk also, but waiting a responce.

Many thanks,

Claire

See the following example to add the EPS cost:

Original entry: TNP 1 original date, original training cost

Add:

TNP 1, date in current year, Training cost

TNP 2, date in current year, EPA cost

If the original training costs was set at the CAP the training cost will be the CAP – the EPA costs.

Why do you need to use TNP3?

Hi Martin,

I need a TNP3 to reflect the new training price, as we currently have a TNP1 as being the full price.

Example:

TNP1: £10,000 September 2018

TNP3: £9,000

TNP2: £1,000

Or have I misunderstood the point of the TNP3?

Many thanks,

Claire

TNP 3 and TNP 4 are only used to record a residual price for example when for a change of employer, you negotiate a new price from that point forwards.

In your case the total negotiated price of £10,000 has not changed so you would record this as:

TNP1: £10,000 September 2018

TNP1: £9,000 Date in current ILR year

TNP2: £1,000 Date in current ILR year
