Hi,
We have two systems and so get a number of these every month, it is correct to change the learner reference number in the latest record to match the learner ref from the first. If the learner is then disappearing from your income report and isn't on the rule violations I would suggest checking the file merge report produced when you merge your two files as there is probably some difference in the learner level detail between the two systems which is preventing the records being merged successfully and so they are being left out.

R59 - learner reference numbers

We have 2 systems and have learners who have completed an aim in one system and now signed up in another system. This is creating an error R59. I have tried using the learner reference number in previous year field but the aims are within the same year and it kept the error. I have tried changing the ref number in the new system to match the one in the old system and the learner vanishes from the funding reports. Service desk advised to delete the record in the old system and add them all again in the new system. I don't think that sounds right and is a lot of work if that is the case so just want to double check if anyone else had had similar and can offer any advice.
