Sheffield Devolved Authorities

Created

HI all can anyone give some guidance on where to find the funding rules for the Sheffield Combined Authority?

The ESFA states;

Since 1 August 2019 devolved authorities with responsibilities for adult education for their residents and associated budgets have published their own funding rules, for those providers in receipt of devolved adult education budget (AEB) funding, for AEB delivery to residents in their areas.

Barnsley, Doncaster, Rotherham and Sheffield Combined Authority (Functions and Amendment) Order 2020 (SI 2020/806)

All very confusing as to what we should be following.

Thanks

Suggest signing up here:

But, as with the others, I'd be surprised if there were any big differences?

Yeah we have done that and asked the question. We are already inducting learners for the next funding year but want to know if any enrolment paperwork needs to be amended outside the norm. We have no carry in learners to 21-22.

I wonder if the ESFA still carry out any assurance visits then?

Thanks

There's meant to be a coordinated approach to assurance? So South Yorks (as they appear to have changed their name to last week!) will engage auditors to audit their bit but nothing else (this is certainly what GLA have done). If you've got study prog/apps as well, they would still be auditable by ESFA but the initial plan was certainly that you wouldn't have a whole queue of auditors looking at separate bits...
