Learners moving over to new standard

Created

Hi,

We have a small group of learners who are moving over (as agreed with HEE) to the new version of their original standard upon their return from a break in learning. They are nurses and so there has been more flexibility with them due to COVID.

When I record the return in the ILR from reading the guidance I am assuming that I open new aims to reflect the new standard, but when it comes to the price... would this be TNP3 and TNP4 based on the outstanding amount left to pay?

Thanks,

Claire

No, returners from breaks just have the initial TNP1 and 2 again, 3 and 4 are only used where there is a change in *employer*.

Actually, has the standard code changed, or has it just been updated? That's the vital bit! If it's the same code then everything is fine, but if it's a different one, you'll have to bring them back on the old code but then immediately transfer them to the new code. If you just bring them back on a different Standard code, the QAR won't be able to match to the original records and they will be left dangling (technical term!) and count against you in two years time...

Steve Hewitt Thank you for your reply!

I have actually misunderstood the situation (not a great start) - They came back from their BIL in September 2020 and they are to be moved to the new standard in June 2021.

The new standard code is different, ST0508 to ST0827....

Do i just need to close down ST0508 and open a new aim for ST0827?

Thank you for your help.
