Hi I have two questions around the new Hiring Grant

If an apprentice worked for a business at weekends or temporary work while they were at school and were on payroll and they now wish to do an apprenticeship with the business, as they have left school. Would they be eligible for the Hiring Grant as they are now being employed fulltime?
If an apprentice joins a business and they are eligible for the Hiring Grant, if they transfer to a different business will the new employer get the second payment of the Hiring Grant.

Im guessing its a no to number 1 and yes to number 2 but if anyone knows for sure or has any info I would welcome it.

For the first part, judging by the webinar

If the learner appeared on the PAYE before the 90 days prior to starting the apprenticeship then no.

p.s. sorry for the sentence construction

For the second part I think whoever is the employer on the census date gets the payment, note that the training provider makes the payment.
