Steve Hewitt Thanks Steve.
No, they have increased, presumably and the only thing i can think of is because they are on a BIL on the ILR but the DAS is showing them as LIVE rather than paused.
Suggestions here that we now can't see pauses as they're at payment not enrolment? Might explain what you're seeing CME?
Steve Hewitt Thank you Steve.
Does this mean we no longer need to advise Employers to pause the DAS if an apprentice is going on a BIL or does the ILR drive this now from the 1st August 2026?

Good morning everyone.
We appear to have an increased number of DLOCK12s where the apprentice is still on a BIL in the ILR and the record on the DAS has been made LIVE after being PAUSED.
Theres no paper trail on the DAS either.
Helpdesk are saying this:
This has occurred due to an update made to the Apprenticeship Service account. All previously paused records changed to 'Live' in order for the update to be pushed.
Please be aware that the 'Pause' function for an apprentice's record has been moved, previously employers could pause a record under the 'Edit' status option, the employer will now pause apprentice records under the 'Payments' section under the 'Change' option.
Can i ask do we need to therefore contact all employers for which this is impacting to update the record from LIVE to PAUSED again?
Has anyone else come across this?
