Terms of use for the Data Operations Community

Welcome to the Data Operations Community Hub 

By participating in this community, you agree to the following Terms of Use. 

As a user, I will:

• Use the forum only for authorised data collection purposes.
• Use the forum for general data collection queries and discussion with other members.
• Submit specific data queries to DfE using the Data Collections Service Request Form.
• Not post content discussing the security arrangements of any local authority or DfE system.
• Not post content that is offensive, derogatory, or likely to cause reputational damage to DfE, community members, or organisations.
• Promptly report malfunctions, incidents, and any observed or suspected security breaches to DfE.
• Log out of the forum securely when it is no longer in use.
• Comply with any forum controls or restrictions that may be applied from time to time.

DfE will:

• Provide access to local authority and non-maintained school users through DfE Sign-in.
• Provide DfE Sign-in links to local authority contacts to share with their schools, where required.
• Endeavour to respond to general data collection queries where possible.
• Monitor and remove posts that do not comply with these Terms of Use.
• Communicate important data collection and system updates to the sector.
