Apprenticeship Restarts and their TNP

Created

None

Good afternoon. Please could we ask how does everyone calculate the TNP of their restart learner if the learner was previously with a different provider and then withdrew from programme.

We request and are given an amount of funding previously claimed by the previous provider. This amount is subtracted from the funding band maximum relevant at the time of original start.

When doing this, we still encounter instances whereby the learner has still exceeded the funding remaining and therefore have to make an additional adjustment to the price in the ILR.

We are wondering if there is anything in addition to this we could implement, that may make this process easier and/or perhaps not need to revisit the price again at a later date.?ย

Any help would be most appreciated.

Many thanks,

I think the short answer is "no" unfortunately (although we have mentioned it to AS representatives on several occasions). Having said that, you don't *have* to alter the price on AS if it's "too high" in these circs, you just don't get paid over the max. I can see why you might want to for assorted cashflow/employer relationship reasons but you can see how much you're not getting paid on the Indicative report that comes from SLD after you've submitted, if that helps.
