Hello,
We deliver two of the standards that were defunded earlier in the year. DWP have confirmed that we fall into the group of providers that have dispensation to enrol a specified number of learners before 17 December - this number is 75% of the starts we had on each standard in 2024/25.
DWP have come up with a different number of eligible starts when compared to my calculations - they have a higher number of starts recorded than we do. On contacting them, they have sent over the ULNs of the learners who started in 2024/25 and they have included restarts of learners who were on BILs - this doesn't seem right to me. And furthermore, they havent applied this approach consistently (some restarts are included, others aren't). I have asked for clarification but haven't received a response as yet.
Has anyone else encountered this scenario? We're looking to enrol our final cohorts in the next 6 weeks so we want to make sure we get the number right!
