Hi
The 'Record keeping and retention information for training providers" guidance , 5.1 ‘Live’ Portfolios (paper and electronic)* paragraph says the retention period is 2 years from end of course and the notes below says "these are the Portfolios that relate to current learning and certificates haven’t been claimed".
Can someone clarify what does this mean?
Are we not allowed to keep the record for learners who have not got their certs?
For completed learners, with certs - Do we need to destroy their record also after 2 years?
The requirement is clear in that you should not retain these records for any longer than stipulated, after all they probably contain personal information that you must not retain for longer than necessary.
