Hi
If an apprentice has changed employer this month after being in learning for 5 months at another employer and has 13 left to go in learning - can the new employer apply for the current apprenticeship Covid incentive?
many thanks
Lisa

Hi Lisa, my understanding is that employers can only claim the incentive if a learner is already enrolled onto an Apprenticeship and they are moving employers due to redundancy.
It only applies to new starts or those made redundant.
E144 Where an employer has already received one instalment of the payment and the apprentice subsequently changes employer, neither the original employer nor the new employer may receive the remaining balance.
