Hi Martin,
Thank you for your response, according to the funding guidance in https://guidance.submit-learner-data.service.gov.uk/psm/article/recording-breaks-in-learning-transfers-and-restarts ...under the "Recording a learner transfer to a new learning aim within the same provider" it states "Original learning start date data is not returned.".
My interpretation was that the original start date box should not be used on the new transferred to Z prog when an apprentice has changed pathway. Is this correct?
Kind Regards,
Molly
The guidance on this is not particularly good but the reference from the PSM is not from the current year and does not apply to Apprenticeship framework pathway changes.
Even the 20/21 guidance is confusing for transfers to a different pathway as the only example applies where it is a different Apprenticeship.
For a pathway change the only example is in:
Where this does require that complete the Original learning start date field with the date that the apprentice originally started on their framework (before the pathway transfer).

Apprenticeship pathway change

If a learner began their apprenticeship in September 2018, then moved departments at work so was transferred to a new NVQ/Pathway in July 2020 and the apprentice was on their new NVQ for less than a year, how do you reflect the apprentice has been on their apprenticeship for a year and a day? (The ILR will unlikely account for the transferred out of Z Prog information).
