Apprenticeship Service Agreement

Edited

Hi,

Does anyone know if, as a subcontractor, we need to send out the ESFA Apprenticeship Agreement (ESFA Apprenticeship Agreement for Employers (for use of the Apprenticeship Service to access funded apprenticeship training) 9 January 2020 - GOV.UK (www.gov.uk) to all new employers or if this is covered by the employer accepting the agreement when they create their digital apprenticeship service account?

We have sent out a separate agreement for Levy employers previously and just want to make sure if we need to send this out to all employers now as all new employers are also on DAS. It doesn't make sense for us to duplicate the agreement if they have already accepted it through DAS but want to clarify if the subcontractor/training provider also needs to maintain a signed copy directly with the employers?

Many thanks!

The Apprenticeship Agreement is needed per apprentice. As the subcontractor I would say it should really be the main provider that completes this type of paperwork. Or at least they shod tell you what paperwork to use.

Hi Kelly Knights,

Thank you for your response. We do require an apprenticeship agreement to be signed for every apprentice (we use the template provided by the ESFA here: (https://www.gov.uk/government/publications/apprenticeship-agreement-template)

It's only the new Apprenticeship Service Agreement that is causing the confusion. It doesn't seem to refer to this anywhere in the funding rules but we have had to send out separate Levy agreements in the past to cover these points.
