This seems an unusual request but is it supported by the Apprentices Employer who is contributing funding and wages to the Apprentice?
I would not think a BIL would be appropriate in this case but that the Apprentice should be withdrawn as they would be able to restart their Apprenticeship after their career break.

Hi, one of our apprentices wishes to take a break in learning for a career break with the ability to undertake paid work. I can't find any references to career breaks in the funding rules. Any advice as to whether this would be an acceptable reason?
