Employer Provider

Hi,

I work for an Employer Provider and have only ever worked from ITPs previously. I know with Apprenticeships you need to have a Employer Contract in place, however is this the same for an Employer Provider, as essentially you are signing a contract for yourself? The Training Division I work for is part of the same company for the staff we deliver to but a different entity. Any help would be great.

TIA

Jessica :)

This may not help to answer your question but we are a main provider and work with a subcontractor who is an employer provider. Although we have a subcontract in place the employer contract was still required.

Hi

Thank you for that - I think from your POV that is correct. We are using our own Levy funds (so we are the provider) delivering to our own staff. Can't seem to find clarity in the funding guidance (but that doesn't surprise me) - thank you though I appreciate your reply.

Sorry- it probably wasn't helpful at all but its the only example I've come across. K

We are also an employer provider and at our last ESFA audit in 2019, we were never asked for a copy of a contract as we wouldn't have a contract with ourselves (if that makes sense).

Kelly Knights - much appreciated all the same :)

Melanie Aspinall - thank you, that's what I thought to. Seemed a little strange. Thought I would check, ITPs seem to have the same rules but different at the same time. I will get my head around them soon I am sure.
