Updating the Apprenticeship Agreement

Created

Hiya

We have apprenticeship learners returning from breaks, how are providers updating the apprenticeship agreement?  Are you completing a new one, with the start date being the date of re-engagement and then the new planned end date, or are providers updating the existing one with a new planned end date and then just getting the apprentice and employer sign against the new planned end date?

Thank you

Regards

Sharon

In the funding rules the requirement is for a return after a BIL:

P54.1 The apprentice and their employer must revise the date in the apprenticeship agreement on which the apprenticeship was expected to have been completed to account for the duration of the break. The duration of the apprenticeship and the amount of off-the-job training needed to meet the 20% requirement would therefore remain the same as though there had been no break in training (break in learning).

You can do this for them but you do need to retain a copy in the learner file.
