Employer Contribution

We have an apprentice that started with us aged 18 and employed by a small employer, they therefore did not have to pay a contribution. The apprentice is continuing with the same apprenticeship but is moving to a new employer. The new employer is a SME but the learner is now 19, so will they need to pay the contribution? I assume the answer is yes but wanted to check.

Hi Chloe, I hope I am right in saying that you can carry over that exemption by using the EEF section in the Learner Delivery Funding and Monitoring in the ILR . Martin / Steve, would you be able to confirm this please?
