You should not be using 2 and 8
In order to be recorded as ‘Completed’ (Completion status code 2), both the training and end point assessment activities for the programme must be completed. An end point assessment that has resulted in a failed outcome can be classed as complete as long as the learner reaches the end of the end point assessment period, rather than withdrawing. If either of these have not been completed, then the programme aim cannot be recorded with Completion status code 2.
I also then have a follow up question in terms of how this might impact us regarding hard close - we have a small number of students who completed both elements of their EPA in July 2021 but won’t get results until potentially after hard close in late October. Should we then be using the date that results were released rather than the date that the EPA had been completed to record the outcome, otherwise potentially we will miss hard close.

Can anyone confirm if you enter in the ILR code 2 and 8 with the achievement date completed with the last date of EPA entered as the results are awaiting you get paid your completion funding? or do you have to wait until the result is known and coded 2 and 1 or 2 and 3?
Sometimes we have a delay in our EPA results hence 2 and 8 coding.
