LRS - GCSE Result Update
Created
None
Dear colleagues
The Learning Records Service team have been monitoring the upload of GCSE results by awarding bodies over the past week, and we would like to share a brief update with you.
In 2020, awarding bodies were able to upload most results within 48 hours of results being published. Unfortunately, they have not been able to replicate that success this year due to some technical limitations with their IT systems, which has meant that some of the results were either delayed or took longer to upload than we had hoped.
However, we have been working with the affected awarding bodies this week to reduce the timeframes as much as possible and, as of 9am this morning, approximately 4.6 million GCSE results have now been loaded into LRS since they were released last Thursday.
While it isn’t possible to state the total we expect to be uploaded, we can see using previous years’ data that this represents the vast majority of results that we would expect to be uploaded.
Rest assured that we will be working with awarding bodies to further improve the timeliness of result uploads next year. We also hope to improve communications with education providers who rely upon on this data to ensure that everyone is aware of when results can be expected to appear in LRS, and the progress of any uploads.
