There must be a prior attainment record matching the earliest learning aim start date for the learner, so set it to the earliest aim start date you have.

Hi Martin thanks for reply ....  on the learners qualification record the start date for the earliest qual is 30/8/21 so we set the prior attainment date 30/8/21 yet still an error ? we have another learner with same dates and thats not an error .... totally confused

You do know it is the earliest aim start date recorded in the ILR even if it is in a previous year.

If it still errors you should report it.

Dave Williams

Hi Martin ... we rechecked the LRS and found a date 2/9/2019 so we entered that as the prior attainment date cleared the error in FIS report ... ran another Export through FIS and the error returned .. think its got a mind of its own lol

Why check the LRS it is the earliest recorded on the 2021/22 ILR for the learner

Dave Williams

that was the original date we entered learners start date 30/8/21 first qual start date 30/8/21 ... and thats the date that kicked off all the FIS errors ??

Downloaded a new FIs and seems to have sorted the errors  thanks

Hello

We still have a large amount of R131 errors and have tried everything including writing to the ESFA for guidance. It is affecting any learner on our system who has progressed to another apprenticeship after successfully completing one previously and there is no cure that I have found that fits with funding rules.  We have ensured there is a properly dated prior attainment for each episode of learning and that doesn't fix the error, the only thing that does is to delete the prior attainment from the first learning episode which 1. we shouldn't and 2. the ESFA have also advised that we don't.

If anyone has a work around, please let me know?

Hi Angie, I had this issue yesterday and like you whatever combination of dates I used didn't resolve the issue, however I downloaded a new FIS 2122.2 from here https://submit-learner-data.service.gov.uk/publicdownloads/Desktop and that seems to have fixed the issue

Hi Dave

Thank you for your help, I did try that again yesterday, but to no avail, I have written to the ESFA again and await their response.

Hi all,

Does anyone have an update on this error?

Martin West

You need to use FIS 2122.2 as the previous version caused an error in the rule.

Oye O

I have but still showing the same error.

Martin West

Do you have the earliest aim start date recorded in the ILR?

Oye O

Thanks Martin. I was just going to say that I have just got a hang of it.

'This entity is completed when the learning agreement has been agreed between the learner and provider. The prior attainment relevant to the agreement is recorded on the ILR with the start date matching the earliest learning aim start date for the agreement.'

The solution is using the start date as ' date applies to'.
