Finishing a previous apprenticeship

Created

None

We have an apprentice ready to start who is finishing off a Level 3 apprenticeship.  They have undertaken the Level 3 End Point Assessment and been advised of the result. At the moment they cannot be added to the DAS because it generates the error that they have overlapping dates with an existing apprenticeship.

My question is, what is that triggers the DAS to reflect the change in status for the Level 3? - Is it the Training Provider's ILR return showing end details (which presumably wouldn't feed through until after next return date)? Can/should the employer stop the Level 3 apprenticeship? Or does the Assessment portal link up to the DAS to reflect the change?

DON'T STOP IT WHATEVER YOU DO!

We've got a couple stopped and it's messing with their completion payments...

Thanks.

You may not get paid if the employer stops the existing apprenticeship on DAS before you have returned the end data in the ILR, it should all sort itself out when you have completed this.
