The guidance is: Apprentices who are due to take their end-point assessment (EPA) on or before 31 December 2021, as its based on the planned end date of the programme aim unless they reach the gateway point prior to 31 December they will have to study towards and attempt L2 FS where not exempt.

Level 2 Functional Skills - Current Suspension till Dec 2021

Hello All,
We currently have a cohort of learners undertaking a Level 2 Apprenticeship Standard, who have a start date of 14/10/2020, learning period end date of 21/10/2021 and a planned (overall) end date of 14/01/2022.
The guidance currently available on the Level 2 FS suspension which is in place till 31st December 2021 is not quite clear. Would these learners be eligble to bypass the L2 FS requirement to 'sit' the exams and is the requirement based on the learning aim end date or does it account for the overall end date?
