Learner goes off long term sick after starting gateway

I have a learner that has started the gateway process but has now been injured resulting in not being able to drive for at least another 6 months which is part of the assessment! Can they be suspended and would they have to start the whole gateway process again? I've spoken to the EPAO but its something they've not come across either.

I might be wrong here but I think it would be a withdrawal as they won't count as completed until they fully sit the EPA and I'm sure you can't put learners on a Break once they've entered Gateway.
