I suppose it depends how the course is being paid for, if they are applying for a loan than possibly that could still fall into under this definition.
It maybe worthwhile mentioning to the learner that an apprenticeship is deemed as full time provision so can they really commit to a university course as well as a full time job and a full time Apprenticeship?

Hi All, We have a learner who has advised that they are due to start a university course outside of their employment and apprenticeship. Looking at the funding rules: P79.3 be in receipt of any other direct DfE funding during their apprenticeship programme; this includes any other DfE funded FE / HE programme. However, the course is an open university course so i believe sits outside of this.
I am checking if the learner able to continue their apprenticeship whilst completing an University? there employer is also changing the contract to Bank Staff.
