Hi All
We have a learner who has completed the practical training and assessment of Higher Degree a year ago but has been working on both Functional skills, completed L1 but unfortunately unsuccessful to achieve Level 2. We have had several meetings with employer, functional skills provider and has been given all the support. Does the learner keep going till it is achieved? What is the process in this case? How long can you leave the ILR open? Many thanks

Apprentice Maths and English
Edited
Hi all
Not a regular on the forum so apologies if this has been asked before.
If an apprentice works towards GCSE and achieves a grade 2, that would satisfy the L2 standard requirements. Would it also satisfy the funding rule of having to work towards and sit a maths and English qualification at L2?
I can't find anything in the funding rules that specifically states it would so i just wanted to check if anyone had done this or if you think we would be covered from an audit perspective if we did this.
Many thanks
Ben
