Transfer with only EPA remaining

Hi a new one for me so after some guidance.
Learner left previous provider after already completing minimum duration but not sitting EPA. We have evidence of minimum duration and OTJ but I am assuming we have to bring them on with at least some learning with us? If so is there a minimum we can put in the ILR?
Could we bring them on, do a learning session then refer to gateway and end learning the following day?
