Incorrect Stop Dates - apprentices changing employers

Created

Hello

We are having difficulty with a few employers when asking them to change stop dates for apprentices that are changing employers (less than 30 days unemployment).

For example, apprentice leaves employer 28/02/2022 then starts with new employer 03/03/2022.

Original employer according to the help articles on the Apprenticeship Service should stop the record March 2022 - not Feb 2022. However, as the apprentices are leaving their employment Feb 2022 they do not wish to use March 2022 as the stop date.

We are trying to query each of these with the helpdesk, but sadly feel we aren't getting very far.

Has anyone else experienced this? Do you have any advice please?

If the original employer does not want to move the stop date, the training provider will need to record the change of employer as a withdrawal from the date they left the original employer and then a restart with the new employer.
