Incorrect Start date in 2020/21

I've found a record from 2020/21 which has the wrong start date on it; it's showing a month earlier than it should be. Is there any way I can correct this?

As the start date is in the previous funding year if it is an Apprenticeship you will have drawn down funding in the previous year which cannot now be rectified, suggest you only note this in the learner file.

Thanks Martin, I thought that would be the case

As a follow up question Martin - the learner wasn't actually employed by that employer at the wrong start date. If I correct the employment record, I will get a data error because there won't be an employment record that exists prior to the start date. How do I deal with that? Thanks

You do need to have systems in place to ensure that starts are not reported in the ILR until their start date is confirmed, you can use the do not include in ILR if you wish to put them on your system in advance of the confirmed start date.

I would leave the employment record as is as you may run into other issues.
