Apprentice Additional Payments

Created

None

We have an apprentice who was with an employer for some 14 months during which his employer received the £1000 Apprentice Additional Payment. The learner then withdrew at the beginning of March 2022.

He now wants to come back on programme with a brand new employer - my question is, is the new 2nd employer entitled to another £1000 worth of Additional Payments?

Additional payments
204. If the apprentice changes provider or employer, then the first employer or provider retains any additional payments already made. The new employer or provider will receive any outstanding payments. We add the number of days in learning with the first provider or employer to the days with the second provider or employer, to calculate when any remaining additional payments are due.
