Apprentices contract date with Employer

Hi,
We have a couple of potential apprentices that are currently on a graduate programme with their employer and this contract ends before the apprenticeship will end if they went ahead. However, we do have a written statement from the employer confirming that they will be offered substantive permanent roles once the graduate placement has finished.
As one of the questions for eligibility is " Do you hold a contract of employment with your employer that extends beyond the date when your apprenticeship would end" will these apprentices still be eligible for the the apprenticeship under the funding rules?
