Why use a BIL when they will be continuing the next day, this is a short term absence and should not be recorded as a BIL.
If you do need guidance on recording a BIL and a restart see:
HTH
Yeah, whatever this is, it's not a break...
If you do need to record a real break in LET, you set the intial learning delivery records to completion 6, outcome 3, add actual end date and ACT to date (the bit I always forget!) and then, when they return, you create new learning delivery records with new start dates etc.
I need to do this due to an error while recording the learners minimum OTJ hours in the previous year. Have been asked to show as a break in learning on 1st Aug 21 and then restart on 2nd Aug 21 with hours adjustment for funding to be able to be adjusted in the current year.
Nope, it's definitely not a Break.
The OTJ Hours field has no impact on funding (or anything!), I don't think there's anything to stop you just overwriting the value in your 21/22 ILR, with a note on the file to say why you've changed it.
The only things that affect funding are start, planned end and TNP values.
Ahaaaaa, yeah, no, still categorically not a break. You *cannot* change the planned end. The learner just either completes late or early. You still get all the funding, just in different sized lumps.
Look at the flowchart on Page 65 of the Funding Rules and you'll see that this does not match the definition of a Break in any way.

How to add a break in learning using the Learning Entry tool.
Edited
I need to record a break in learning (for an apprentice in their ILR) and then continuation the next day, using the Learner Entry Tool. Don't know where to begin. Also the learner will continue (after a break the previous day) with the same programme aim and component aim the next day. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Many thanks
