Going Past Planned End Date

Has anyone had an employer agree to support an apprentice past a planned end date? Do we need to revise the Apprenticeship Agreement/Commitment Statement to reflect the new planned end date?

Crystal Hon - yes unfortunately all to often.

Add a note to the commitment statement but do not change the original Planned end date on the ILR or the commitment statement and make the Employer aware that they should NOT update the Apprenticeship service.

Phil Dawe Thanks Phil. Is it in the funding rules somewhere? I'm trying to find it so I can back up my request for an amendment to the commitment statement.

Most employers agree to this and yes you should update the commitment statement only to reflect any additional delivery and planned end date

Hi Crystal Hon,

From the provider funding rules: 2122_Provider_Rules__Version_2_To_Publish.pdf (publishing.service.gov.uk)

P64.2 The commitment statement must be kept up to date with any material
changes (e.g. as a result of changes agreed at a progress review).
