Traineeship Destination

Good morning,

When a Traineeship completes their programme, we record the completion status as complete (Code 2) and the outcome as not yet known (Code 8). This is followed up after 6 months and we change the not yet known to either achieved (Code 1) or no achievement (Code 3) depending on the outcome.

If a Traineeship leaves early to progress however, you cannot record the completion status as withdrawn (Code 3) with a positive outcome (Code 1 or 8)

Do we record this as withdrawn (Code 3) and no achievement (Code 3) until we follow up to confirm they have been there for the required amount of time (8 weeks in the workplace etc.)? Or do we record this as completed (Code 2) and achieved (Code 1) from their leave date as we know why they are leaving?

We also sometime have learners leave the traineeship programme for reasons other than to progress to a positive destination which we record as withdrawn (Code 3) and no achievement (Code 3). Some of these learners then go on to further education within 6 months. Are we able to go back and change these learners to completed and achieved as long as we have evidence of the positive destination?

I ask this as the learners did progress to a positive destination within 6 months of leaving and complete the required length of time, but you cannot record withdrawn (Code 3) and Achieved (Code 1) together. Does the 6 month follow up only apply to learners that complete the Traineeship programme in full?

Thank you.

Kristian.

Hello,

Did you ever find an answer for this, as we are currently querying the same topic internally?

Thank you.
