Oh right, if it's the same aims, you just restart them with the new agreed planned end, nothing changes on the BIL records.
In a situation where someone came back and, say, the old component aim had expired or just changed internally for some reason BUT IT WAS STILL THE SAME STANDARD, I'd probably set the old *component* to withdrawn, and start the new one (there's a PDSAT report that gets eggy if the same aims aren't there, even though component aims affect neither funding or achievement rates).
Thanks Steve, sorry my initial questions was a bit rubbish.
They are going back on the same standard but the AO for functional skills has changed - we had two different ideas of how it should be done and unfortunately I was completely wrong so thank you for clearing this up for me.

Return to Learning with a Change of learning aim
Created
Hi All
It must be one of those days today - I am going to blame the weather!
I have a number of learners who are returning from a BIL but the learning aim has changed.
My team and I have different ideas of what should happen
The learner should be returned from the break on the old aim but a new line in the ILR - this aim should be 'transfered' - New ILR line created to a new aim with the correct learning aim in it
Or
The learning should be update the old aim with code 40 and create a new aim with the correct learning aim on it.
Hopefully these options make sense - if you could answer that would me amazing.
Thanks
Gina
