We have an employer with a new recruit member of staff that they would like to now put on a standard but are enquiring about the start month. Basically, they have been employed since July but cannot enrol onto the apprenticeship until September. To me, this is not a newly recruited apprentice unless the start and enrolment takes place in the same month. I have asked them to speak to the AS desk for further advice. Any advice would be appreciated

New for 1 August 2022 We have removed the rules relating to incentive payments for hiring a new apprentice as these payments do not apply to starts from 1 August 2022.
