Enrol/App Agreement/Commit Statement - Signature dates

The Apprenticeship Agreement should be signed on or before learning takes place.

We have had recent examples of where the learner or employer was late signing via Docusign and this was raised in both internal and external  audits.

There’s  really not much you can do unless you want to push the learners  start date back by a few weeks so that the date is after when they signed but that may not be ideal for you and would require the paperwork being completed again.

it’s difficult especially when we’re dealing with electronic signatures.

If these documents are signed afterwards what have auditors said and how does this stand with any funding received for these learners?

Also the enrolment form that the learner and employer sign, I cant seem to find any guidance with regards if this was signed after the enrolment.  Again, as we are electronic signatures it can be difficult to get it all signed on the day the enrolment took place?

Hi Keli,

It's difficult to fully advise you as auditors were being more forgiving for activity in 20-21, due to Covid.

Anything signed after day1 will cause you issues. What the knock on is we cant say, I'm afraid.
