Learner completed higher level in own time

Hi.

Just wondering if anyone has advice on this. We've got a learner on a AAT L2 Apprenticeship but we weren't aware that the learner was studying level 3 herself and has now gone onto level 4 (also self study).  The learner has not yet achieved level 2 apprenticeship, she's admitted she concentrated on her own personal study. Any advice on how to proceed?

thanks,

Jenny

I mean, you can't have the money and she can't complete the L2 when she's already passed the level above... I hope her employer hasn't been paying her App Min Wage...

Has she been concentrating on her own personal study in work time, otherwise I don't see how it would affect her OTJ/ability to complete the L2?

Hi Steve

Thanks for your response. We weren't aware that the learner was completing level 3 (and 4 ) in her own time. She bought the books, studied herself and sat the exams with another provider. She started the level 2 with us first, so there's no prior learning and in the middle of it she apparently started level 3 on her own without our knowledge. She has now passed level 3 and onto level 4. I'm just wondering where we stand in regards to the getting the level 2 apprenticeship completed?

thanks,
