ALS provides for reasonable adjustments, as set out in section 20 of the Equality Act 2010, I do not think counselling falls into this category, but you may be able to claim for any learning support required due to this.

Would a report from a counsellor be sufficient to support any adjustments needed?

A learning difficulty or disability can be evidenced from an Apprentices self-declaration or identified by the provider at any stage during the programme, it is not thought that the funding rules require the specific condition that relates to this to be evidence by a source external to the provider, but it does require documented evidence demonstrating the apprentice’s learning difficulty or disability.

Martin West back to my question from last month, in relation to a declaration, if someone hadn't declared this at the start, but it has now come to light, would you ask them to complete a change in circumstance form?  Thanks
