Signatures Required for BIL?
Created
None
Good morning,
One thing that I have been queried on is if a learner and employer need to sign a statement or notification acknowledging that the learner is going onto a BIL (break in learning).
I have read the funding guidance and few posts on here but have not come across anything that requires a signature, therefore I believe a BIL without a signature is compliant.
TIA - Terry

Hi Terry,
We ask for signatures as the employer and apprentice need to agree to the BIL and for completeness, we obtain signatures as part of the paperwork for the evidence pack.
Here's the thing though, that's for Old School ("proper") BILs that need agreement. If you've *got* to break them cos they've missed four weeks then you've got to break them, and the replanned hours etc when they "come back" after 32 days would be where I'd get the sigs.
