Hours of training

Created

None

Hi - I am sure at some point I have seen written down the number of hours a learner is expected to attend in training, I don't mean for instance GLH against recommended GLH but hours that a learner actually attends a course - like a 7 hr day or a 8 hr day etc

Hope this makes sense

thanks in advance Mgt

For study programmes the following applies:

  1. ESFA does not fund study programmes of less than 2 weeks’ duration. Whilst there is no minimum number of hours that a study programme must have, no student’s planned hours should exceed 40 hours per week.

Other than this I have no knowledge of any requirement for the hours that a learner actually attends for any funding stream.

Thank you Martin - so if needed a learner can attend say 10 hours a day training over a shorter duration - not including Study Programmes

That would not be normal in FE delivery.

Has to be within the providers normal working hours so you can prove it was supervised.

Thanks Chris
