Apprenticeship achievement date

As all component elements/aims will have been completed at the gateway point you would not record the achievement date as the date the last component aspect was sat.

You record the date that the EPAO confirms the EPA has been completed as advised to you by the EPAO.

Hi Martin, Thank you for your thoughts. The last component element refers to the EPA element, i.e. professional discussion (just amended post to make clearer) . The spec itself states "This field will be used to record the end of the apprenticeship standard. This date concludes the End point assessment period that has taken place on or after 1 August 2019" - which could be taken two ways:

• the end of the actual EPA where they are certificated
• the last element as the learner as the assessment period for the EPA has now ended for them (unless of course failed)

It seems to be an interesting subject based on people I have chatted to. I have sent a query to the ESFA to ask them for clarification on this question, interested to see what they will say and I hope its not the usual answer of read the rulings :)

Even for those who fail the achievement date is the date the EPA has been completed as this field represents completion of the EPA and not just achievement.
