Please we receive advice on a formula to calculate the following data:

How to manually calculate the % of our retention rates?

Do we need to calculate retention based on all learners who started with us since day 1 (any past academic year) and the number of withdrawals which have taken place in the current academic year?

Or is there a cut off point? Do we calculate retention based on all of our learners who started in the previous academic year AND the current academic year? How many academic years back do we need to include in the calculation?

For each funding year, the overall retention rate percentage is:

(Number of learning aims that have successfully completed/ Number of learning aims that have ended) X 100

You can use the same principle for the QAR for each hybrid end year this normally includes data from the past 5 years.
