LAR no eligible in 22/23 but learner continuing

I've got an odd one for 16-19 funding, it's a high needs learner, but that isn't relevant to the issue I've got (apart from they've taken longer to complete than we expected). The Edexcel qual the learner is doing is coming off funding for 21/22 on LAR, so I already know it will error at R04. Edexcel have given dispensation for this learner to complete the one outstanding unit in 22/23 and then claim (which is unhelpful to me). Do I have to put as completed/not achieved in 21/22 and then exclude aim in 22/23, or can anyone see a work round? Alternative is to put as achieved by R14 21/22 and hope they pass - I know an auditor would crucify me for that! Any ideas?

If you leave the aim as continuing (because they are!) then it'll be fine. It's only last date for *new starts* not continuers.

Might have a bit of fun getting your student record system to pull the record into the 22/23 ILR, but they can all do it with a bit of prodding.

That's what I thought Steve, but as we've got apprentices I've done a RO1, and the aim is showing as an error "The Learning Aim reference is not valid in the LARS database for this funding model for this teaching year." It is an "E" not a "W". Any ideas how to stop it erroring? Learner is passed planned end date but marked as 1, continuing with aim.

What's the aim ref?

50064915, which gives no results for 22/23 teaching year!

aaaaaaah, I see...

Certificate in Skills for Independent Living (Entry 1) (submit-learner-data.service.gov.uk)

So LDNS was 31 July 2020 and it's only valid to 31 July 2022 (which is why it's not in the 22/23 data at all)

Reckon you're going to have to put them as completed/fail in R14 and then sort out the learner actually doing the last bit outside the system...

Thanks as ever Steve, I'm badgering our curriculum team to get evidence for last unit together and never to put us in this position again!
