Potential Apprentice from EU

Hi

we have a potential apprentice that has been back in the country for 5 months, this is her second time here.  She was here for 3.5 years, left for 5 and then has come back 5 months ago. She has a Presettled status – Under European Settlement Scheme. She is aged 24+ is she entitled to Apprenticeship funding?

To be eligible the learner would have to have been resident in the UK or EU for 3 years prior to her start date.

If she was living in the EU for the past three years then great, if not then she won’t be eligible.

I had a learner recently with pre settled. The problem was they had lived some of the past 3 years in Albania and was therefore not eligible.

Yep.

We ask all non UK born learners to evidence this but I'm aware a lot of providers accept a self declaration for the 3 years residency question.
